Yes, there are written standards of workmanship in Arizona

Did you know that Arizona has written standards of workmanship for every trade required to have a license in the state? Of course, we pay particular attention to the roofing standards, which are found on page 23 of the attached document.

Would you be surprised if I told you that many contractors have never read this document? Or even know that it exists? Dont be too shocked to hear that. The simple fact of construction is that we attract people who think whatever they do is always right. And won’t be told what to do by anyone. That is what I was told anyways by several contractors I spoke to. They see the attached document as a joke.
